Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your relationship with the operator of the online gambling services made available to Canadian residents (excluding Ontario) through the website friday-bet.ca, marketed for review purposes as Casino Friday (the "Website", the "Platform"). By registering an account or otherwise using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The services are operated by 1Up Entertainment B.V., a private limited liability company incorporated in Curaçao, holding online casino gaming sub-license no. 8048/JAZ issued by Antillephone N.V., with its registered and principal business address at Abraham de Veerstraat 9, Willemstad, Curaçao ("1Up Entertainment B.V." or the "Operator").

These Terms are effective as of 1 January 2026 (last updated: 6 November 2025). As of the latest review (including verification in 2026), the Operator is not licensed by any Canadian provincial regulator and is not listed on the iGaming Ontario (iGO) whitelist. Ontario residents must not use the Platform.

Definitions

  • Operator: 1Up Entertainment B.V., license holder under sub-license no. 8048/JAZ issued by Antillephone N.V., operating the Casino Friday brand for Canada via friday-bet.ca as Casino Friday.
  • Platform / Website: The online gambling platform accessible at friday-bet.ca, including all pages, games, software, and related services provided under the brand Casino Friday for Canadian users.
  • Casino Friday: The Canadian-facing version and marketing designation of the Casino Friday services made available via friday-bet.ca and covered by these Terms.
  • User / Player / You: Any natural person who visits the Website, opens an account, deposits funds, places bets, or otherwise uses the Platform for real-money or bonus play.
  • Account: A personal, unique registration created by a User on the Platform that enables access to games, bonuses, deposits, withdrawals, and other services.
  • Games: All casino-style games offered on the Platform, including but not limited to slots, table games, live casino, and any other real-money or bonus games available from time to time.
  • Bet / Wager: Any stake, bet, or participation placed in a Game using real-money funds or bonus funds, whether singular or part of a series of bets.
  • Real-Money Balance: The portion of your Account balance consisting of deposits and any winnings derived from those deposits, not subject to wagering requirements.
  • Bonus / Promotion: Any offer granted by the Operator, including welcome bonuses, reload bonuses, cashback, free spins, tournaments, or loyalty rewards, subject to specific terms and wagering requirements.
  • Bonus Funds / Bonus Balance: Any non-withdrawable funds or free spins credited to your Account as part of a Bonus or Promotion and subject to specific wagering, expiry, and other conditions.
  • Wagering Requirements: The specified number of times Bonus Funds and/or deposit amounts must be wagered before associated funds can be withdrawn.
  • KYC ("Know Your Customer"): The identification and verification procedures used by the Operator to verify your identity, age, address, source of funds, and other details, including documentary checks.
  • AML: Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations applicable to the Operator under its licensing and relevant laws.
  • Canada (excluding Ontario): All Canadian provinces and territories in which the Operator accepts Users, excluding Ontario where the Platform is not provincially regulated and User registration is prohibited.
  • Game Rules: The specific rules, paytables, and mechanics that apply to each Game as displayed on the Platform or within the Game interface.

Account Registration

Eligibility

  • Age and legal capacity: You may register an Account only if you:
    • are a natural person;
    • are at least 18 years old and meet or exceed the minimum legal gambling age in your province or territory (19 in most provinces, including BC, ON, NS, NB, PEI, NL; 18 in AB, MB, QC); and
    • have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
    It is your responsibility to ensure that online gambling is legal in your jurisdiction and that you meet all local age requirements.
  • Location restrictions: You must not create or use an Account if you are:
    • resident in, or physically located in, Ontario; or
    • resident in any other jurisdiction where the Operator is not permitted to offer online gambling services under its Curaçao license or local law.
  • One account per person: You may hold only one Account on the Platform. Multiple Accounts, shared Accounts, or Accounts opened on behalf of third parties are strictly prohibited and may lead to closure and forfeiture of funds in accordance with these Terms.

Registration Process and KYC Verification

  • Registration details: To open an Account, you must provide accurate and complete information, including your full legal name, date of birth, residential address, email address, and any other details requested in the registration form. You must confirm that the information is truthful and up to date.
  • Email and device verification: The Operator may require you to verify your email address and/or mobile device by responding to a confirmation message or code before granting full access to the Platform.
  • KYC documentation: At any time, and particularly before processing withdrawals, the Operator may request documents such as:
    • a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, driver's licence);
    • proof of address (e.g., recent utility bill or bank statement);
    • proof of ownership of payment methods (e.g., redacted bank card copy or bank statement);
    • evidence of source of funds, where required under AML obligations.
    Documents may need to be certified or notarized where deemed necessary.
  • Verification outcome: If you fail to provide requested KYC information or if the Operator reasonably suspects that information is false, incomplete, or misleading, the Operator may refuse registration, suspend your Account, withhold withdrawals, and/or close the Account in accordance with AML and licensing requirements.

User Obligations and Account Security

  • Accuracy and updates: You must keep your Account information accurate and up to date. You must promptly update any changes to your name, address, contact details, or payment information via the Platform or by contacting support.
  • Password and access security: You must choose a strong, unique password and keep it strictly confidential. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your Account and password. You must:
    • not share login credentials with any third party;
    • immediately notify the Operator if you suspect unauthorized access; and
    • log out of your Account when using shared or public devices.
  • Use for lawful, personal purposes only: Your Account may be used solely for your own personal entertainment and must not be used for:
    • any commercial purpose;
    • money laundering, terrorist financing, or other unlawful conduct; or
    • placing bets on behalf of or funded by third parties.
  • Responsible gambling: You agree to gamble responsibly and to use any responsible gambling tools offered on the Platform (such as deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, and self-exclusion) where needed. You acknowledge that online gambling carries financial risk and that you are solely responsible for your gambling decisions.

Betting & Gameplay Rules

General Gameplay Principles

  • Game rules and RNG: Each Game is governed by its own Game Rules and, where applicable, a certified random number generator ("RNG"). By playing a Game, you accept its rules and payout structures as displayed on the Platform or within the Game. In the event of discrepancy between displayed and underlying rules, the Operator's official Game data and logs shall prevail.
  • Fair play: The Operator is committed to providing fair and transparent Games under its Curaçao license. You agree not to interfere with, manipulate, or attempt to reverse engineer any aspect of the Games, software, or RNG.
  • Provincial considerations: While the Platform is available to Canadian Players (excluding Ontario) under a Curaçao license, it is not regulated by Canadian provincial authorities. You acknowledge that provincial dispute resolution and protection regimes for provincially licensed gambling sites do not apply to the Platform.

Placing Bets

  • Bet confirmation: A Bet is considered placed once it has been accepted by the Platform's servers and appears in your Game history. Once accepted, a Bet cannot usually be modified or cancelled by the Player.
  • Minimum and maximum stakes: Each Game specifies minimum and maximum bet limits. You may only place Bets within these limits and within the available balance of your Real-Money Balance and/or Bonus Balance, subject to any applicable bonus-related stake caps.
  • Game malfunctions: In the event of a Game malfunction, system error, or failure of communication, the Operator:
    • may void the affected Bet or Game round;
    • will restore your Account balance to the position before the malfunction occurred; and
    • will not be responsible for winnings that would have accrued as a result of the malfunctioned Game.

Live Casino and Chat Conduct

  • Code of conduct: When using live casino Games or chat features, you must behave respectfully and refrain from:
    • abusive, threatening, or harassing language;
    • hate speech, discrimination, or incitement of violence;
    • spamming, advertising, or soliciting other Users; or
    • sharing personal, confidential, or illegal content.
  • Moderator powers: The Operator and its live dealers or moderators may remove chat messages, mute Users, or exclude Users from chat and/or live Games where chat rules are breached.
  • Recording and streaming: You are not permitted to record or publicly stream live casino sessions or chat content without the prior written consent of the Operator and any relevant third parties.

Fraud, Collusion, and Unfair Play

  • Prohibited activities: You must not engage in any fraudulent or unfair activity, including but not limited to:
    • collusion with other Players;
    • use of bots, software aids, scripts, or automated betting tools;
    • exploitation of bugs or errors in Games or the Platform;
    • chip dumping or other methods designed to transfer value between Accounts; or
    • systematic exploitation of bonuses contrary to their intended purpose.
  • Consequences: Where the Operator reasonably suspects fraud, collusion, or unfair play, it may:
    • void affected Bets and winnings;
    • confiscate Bonus Funds and related winnings;
    • freeze and/or close your Account; and
    • report the matter to relevant authorities or regulators, including AML bodies.

Bonus Terms

Activation of Bonuses

  • Bonus offers: From time to time, the Operator may make available Bonuses or Promotions, including welcome offers, free spins, reload bonuses, cashback, or loyalty rewards. Each offer is subject to specific terms (the "Bonus Rules") published on the Website or communicated directly to you.
  • Opt-in and eligibility: Some Bonuses will require manual opt-in (e.g., via a checkbox or bonus code), while others may be automatically applied. Bonuses may be restricted by jurisdiction, payment method, previous bonus usage, or other eligibility criteria. The Operator may refuse or withdraw Bonuses in the event of misuse or ineligibility.
  • Bonus Rules prevail: If there is any inconsistency between these general Bonus Terms and the Bonus Rules for a specific offer, the specific Bonus Rules shall prevail for that offer.

Wagering Requirements and Bonus Play

  • Wagering requirements: Bonus Funds and any winnings derived from them typically must be wagered a specified number of times before withdrawal is permitted. The exact wagering requirement (e.g., a multiple of the bonus and/or deposit) and the Games that contribute toward it will be set out in the Bonus Rules.
  • Game contribution: Different Games may contribute different percentages towards wagering (for example, most slots may contribute 100%, whereas table or live casino Games may contribute at a reduced rate or 0%). Full details are stated in the Bonus Rules and may be updated from time to time.
  • Maximum bet and timeframe: Bonus Rules may impose:
    • a maximum allowed bet per spin or round while wagering; and
    • a time limit within which wagering requirements must be completed.
    • Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of Bonus Funds and related winnings.

    Restrictions and Bonus Abuse

    • Prohibited play patterns: The following may be deemed bonus abuse and may lead to removal of Bonuses and associated winnings:
      • placing low-risk or zero-risk bets (such as simultaneous bets on red and black in roulette) primarily to clear wagering;
      • banking large winnings and then using minimal stakes to clear wagering requirements;
      • using multiple Accounts, including accounts of family members or associated persons, to claim the same offer multiple times; or
      • exploiting software glitches or Game errors.
    • Non-combinability: Unless expressly stated otherwise, only one bonus or promotion may be active at any one time. Bonuses generally cannot be combined or "stacked."
    • Withdrawal before wagering completion: If you request a withdrawal before meeting wagering requirements, the Operator may remove remaining Bonus Funds and any winnings linked to them, paying out only your Real-Money Balance.
    • Right to amend or withdraw: The Operator may amend or withdraw any Bonus or Promotion at any time, provided that:
      • changes will not negatively affect Bonuses already accepted, except where necessary to comply with law or licensing obligations; and
      • Players will be informed of any material changes via the Website or direct communication.

    Payments & Withdrawals

    Deposit Methods and Limits

    • Available methods: Deposits may be made using methods displayed in the cashier section of the Website, which can include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, selected e-wallets, prepaid vouchers, and, where legally permitted and specifically offered on the Platform from time to time, certain cryptocurrencies.
    • Currency: The primary operating currency for Players in Canada is Canadian dollars (CAD), although some payment methods or Games may operate in other currencies. Currency conversion fees and rates are determined by your bank, payment provider, or the Platform, as applicable.
    • Limits and fees: Minimum and maximum deposit limits per transaction, per day, or per month are displayed in the cashier. The Operator may, in its discretion, adjust these limits based on your profile and KYC status. The Operator may charge reasonable processing fees; external providers (banks, card issuers, e-wallets, etc.) may also levy their own fees.
    • Third-party payments: You may only deposit using payment methods registered in your own name. The Operator may request proof of ownership. Deposits using third-party accounts without appropriate authorization are prohibited and may be reported to relevant authorities.

    Withdrawals

    • General rule: Subject to these Terms, you may request withdrawal of your available Real-Money Balance via the cashier section. The Operator may, where feasible, process withdrawals using the same method used for deposit or, if not possible, an alternative method in your name.
    • KYC and AML checks: Before approving withdrawals, the Operator may:
      • require completion of KYC verification; and
      • conduct AML checks, including verification of transaction patterns and source of funds.
      • Failure to cooperate may result in delays, suspension, or cancellation of withdrawals.
      • Processing times: Internal processing times are indicated in the cashier and may vary by method. Additional delays may arise from KYC checks or third-party payment processing, which are outside the Operator's direct control.
      • Withdrawal limits: The Operator may impose minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts per transaction or per period. For substantial wins, the Operator may pay out in instalments, subject to any applicable legal requirements under its Curaçao license.

      Chargebacks, Refunds, and Bonus Reversals

      • Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without valid cause is a material breach of these Terms. The Operator may:
        • freeze or close your Account;
        • offset any chargeback amounts (and related fees) against your balance or future deposits; and
        • report suspected fraudulent chargebacks to relevant authorities and payment providers.
      • Refunds of deposits and Bets: Deposits are not generally refundable. Bets already placed and settled cannot be cancelled or refunded except where:
        • a Game malfunction or error has occurred; or
        • the Operator otherwise determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a refund is justified.
      • Bonus removal: Where these Terms or Bonus Rules are breached, the Operator may remove Bonus Funds and revert your balance to the Real-Money Balance prior to the breach, subject to any mandatory legal rights you may have under the law of your province or territory.
      • Tax obligations: You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on your winnings in accordance with the laws of Canada and your province or territory. The Operator does not provide tax advice and, as a non-provincially regulated operator, generally does not withhold Canadian taxes on your behalf.

      Limitation of Liability

      Operator's Obligations

      • Service provision: The Operator shall use reasonable skill and care to operate the Platform in accordance with its Curaçao license and applicable laws, including:
        • providing Games that function substantially as described on the Website;
        • using certified RNGs where applicable; and
        • maintaining reasonable security measures to protect your data and funds.
      • Accuracy of results: Game outcomes are determined by the Game Rules and RNG or live game results. In case of discrepancy, the Operator will make reasonable efforts to investigate and correct errors in accordance with these Terms.

      Exclusions of Liability

      • Technical failures and external factors: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for:
        • interruptions, delays, or failures caused by your equipment, internet service provider, or telecommunications network;
        • incompatibility of your hardware or software with the Platform; or
        • losses arising from cyber-attacks, viruses, or other harmful technology affecting your devices, unless directly attributable to the Operator's failure to implement reasonable security measures.
      • Indirect and consequential loss: The Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of opportunity arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.
      • Third-party services: The Operator is not responsible for acts or omissions of third parties providing Games, payment services, or telecommunications services, save to the extent required under applicable mandatory laws.

      Limitation of Liability and Mandatory Rights

      • Maximum compensation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to a particular Bet or Game shall not exceed the amount of the stake or the amount actually lost by you in that Bet or Game, whichever is lower.
      • Non-excludable liability: Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit:
        • liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
        • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
      • Canadian consumer protections: While the Platform is licensed in Curaçao and not regulated by Canadian provinces, you may nonetheless have mandatory legal rights under the consumer protection laws of your province or territory. These Terms are intended to be interpreted in a manner consistent with such mandatory rights, and where a conflict arises, your mandatory statutory rights shall prevail to the extent they apply.

      Intellectual Property Rights

      • Ownership: All intellectual property rights in and to the Platform, including but not limited to trademarks (including the Casino Friday brand as used via friday-bet.ca for Casino Friday), logos, domain names, designs, text, graphics, software, and audio-visual content, are owned by the Operator or its licensors.
      • Limited licence to use: The Operator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial entertainment on compliant devices in Canada (excluding Ontario), subject to these Terms.
      • Prohibited uses: You must not:
        • copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Platform's content or software, except as strictly necessary for normal use of the Platform;
        • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software used in connection with the Platform, except where permitted by mandatory law; or
        • use any robot, spider, scraper, or automated means to access or interact with the Platform.
      • Infringement reporting: If you believe that any content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, you should contact the Operator in writing with sufficient detail to allow investigation and appropriate action.

      Privacy & Data Protection

      • Privacy Policy: Your personal data is collected, used, stored, and disclosed in accordance with the Platform's Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and is available on friday-bet.ca. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to the Privacy Policy.
      • Data processing: The Operator, acting as data controller for the Platform, processes your personal data to:
        • open and manage your Account;
        • provide Games and services;
        • comply with AML, KYC, and licensing obligations; and
        • carry out responsible gambling and fraud-prevention measures.
      • Storage and transfer: Your data may be stored and processed in Curaçao and other jurisdictions where the Operator or its service providers are located. The Operator uses appropriate safeguards, as required by applicable data protection laws, to protect your information.
      • Canadian framework: Although the Operator is licensed in Curaçao, it aims to respect generally accepted data protection principles, including those reflected in Canadian privacy laws such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), to the extent such laws apply.

      Changes to Terms

      • Right to amend: The Operator may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulatory requirements, technical developments, or business practices.
      • Notification of changes: Material changes will be communicated by:
        • updating the "last updated" date at the top of these Terms; and
        • displaying a notice on the Website and/or sending an email or in-account message, where appropriate.
      • Effective date of changes: Unless a different date is specified, changes will take effect on the date indicated in the updated Terms. For significant changes, the Operator will, where reasonably practicable, provide prior notice before the changes become effective.
      • Your acceptance: Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Platform and close your Account in accordance with these Terms.

      Termination & Suspension

      Termination by the Player

      • Closure on request: You may close your Account at any time by using the account settings (where available) or by contacting customer support via the Website. Subject to AML and KYC obligations, the Operator will process any remaining Real-Money Balance in accordance with these Terms.
      • Self-exclusion and responsible gambling: You may request self-exclusion for a defined or indefinite period through responsible gambling tools or by contacting support. During self-exclusion, you must not attempt to open new Accounts or circumvent the exclusion.

      Suspension and Termination by the Operator

      • Grounds for suspension or closure: The Operator may suspend or close your Account, freeze funds, and/or void Bets where it reasonably suspects:
        • breach of these Terms or Bonus Rules;
        • underage gambling or false identity;
        • residency or play from Ontario or another prohibited jurisdiction;
        • fraud, money laundering, or other criminal activity; or
        • chargebacks, abusive behaviour, or technical manipulation of Games.
      • Dormant accounts: Where an Account remains inactive for a prolonged period, the Operator may classify it as dormant in accordance with applicable policies and notify you using your last known contact details. Dormant account fees, if any, will be clearly disclosed in advance and will comply with applicable laws.
      • Notice: Where legally required and reasonably practicable, the Operator will notify you of suspension or closure and the reasons for it. In some cases (e.g., AML investigations), legal obligations may prevent full disclosure of reasons.

      Treatment of Funds upon Termination

      • Legitimate balances: On closure of your Account (whether by you or the Operator), any undisputed Real-Money Balance will be returned to you, subject to:
        • successful completion of KYC and AML checks; and
        • deduction of any chargebacks, unpaid fees, or amounts owed by you to the Operator.
      • Bonuses and disputed funds: Bonus Funds and funds associated with breaches of these Terms may be forfeited. Funds subject to regulatory or legal investigation may be frozen until the matter is resolved.

      Governing Law & Jurisdiction

      • Governing law: These Terms, your Account, and your use of the Platform are governed by the laws of Curaçao, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your province or territory of residence in Canada that may apply and cannot be lawfully excluded.
      • Regulatory framework: The Platform operates under sub-license no. 8048/JAZ issued by Antillephone N.V. in Curaçao. As confirmed by checks up to and including 2026, the Operator is not licensed by any Canadian provincial authority and is not on the iGaming Ontario whitelist. As a result, dispute resolution mechanisms provided by Canadian provincial regulators (including iGaming Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) do not apply to the Platform.
      • Initial dispute resolution: If you have a complaint, you must first contact the Operator's customer support via the Website with full details of your claim. The Operator will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
      • Escalation: If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of an internal complaint, you may escalate the matter in accordance with the Operator's complaints procedure, which may include referral to an independent body or to the relevant Curaçao licensing authority.       • Courts and arbitration: Subject to any applicable dispute resolution mechanism chosen by the Operator and accepted by you, any legal proceedings relating to these Terms shall be brought before the competent courts of Curaçao, without prejudice to any rights you may have to bring proceedings in the courts of your own province or territory where such rights arise under mandatory consumer protection laws.
